420 #87 (PM) New Year's Eve Session with Twitter Family and Bliptunes

It's New Year's Eve, but before heading out for the night of festivities I was able to enjoy a 420 at home with my roommate, some Twitter family, and some great music from Blip.fm. Lots of internet chatter between myself, @hcarlgolden and @killatrees420, a couple of regular session participants from Twitterland. My favorite blip of the session was this Isaac Hayes:

420 #86 (AM) New Year's Eve Morning Session with Anime

Well, I'm up late going into New Year's Day, trying to drum up some Twitter session mates. I was joined by @prettyfacepinky, and got some messages from http://twitter.com/RickWolff and @DevLano. @DevLano suggested watching some IGPX, an anime show. I'm not huge on anime, but I'll give anything a try! You can check out the latest episode below. My pipe and I watched the first episode, which I also available at the same site. I also learned, thanks to http://twitter.com/RickWolff, that Bing Crosby was also a pot advocate -- nice! Go Bing!

420 #85 (PM) Birthday 420 Session

I was going to write "35th Birthday 420 Session" but then it sounded like I'd been smoking weed since I was born. No, this is probably the 12th or 13th birthday session I've had, but today was the first I've done as a part of this blog. It snowed like crazy here in Seattle last night, so I'm stuck at home doing pretty much nothing but... smoking pot! I joined the East Coast and Central Time Zone smokers via Twitter, then decided to stream a bit at 4:20pm on the West Coast. I connected with a new Twitter user up in Vancouver who joined me at the stream, though sadly still at work and not able to puff one with me. Thanks to all of you who sent me birthday wishes, and also to those of you who I took pipe and bong hits with, too!

420 #84 (PM) Ugly Driving Session

Ugly weather outside today -- too bad I had to be on the road when 4:20pm struck. But I was prepared today. I'd actually planned for this: I knew I'd be doing tons of driving today, and with a late gig that I knew would be irritating, I brought plenty for the day. I managed to get a quick picture on my cell phone:

420 #83 (PM) Hitting the Honey Bear Bubbler Pipe for the First Time

Remember the contest I held back when I hit Session #42, the 10% mark of this project? I made a huge order from my favorite online vendor, 1Percent, and ordered up some stuff for the contest winner. I snagged an extra Honey Bear bubbler pipe, thinking I could give it away later on, but I ended up just sticking it in a drawer. I came across it today while doing a bunch of house cleaning and organizing and figured, "what the hell?" It ended up inaugurating me, that's for sure! I'm a week shy of my 35th birthday, and my lungs "ain't what they used to be," as they say. It packed a nice, hard punch (I think @killatrees420 was laughing at me out there -- ha!) -- enjoy the video below from 12seconds.tv:

420 #82 (PM) Afternoon Blips for First 420 Session in Almost a Week

This time of the year is particularly busy if you are a musician, and it's been crazy for me here lately. Many early mornings, afternoon obligations, and crashing hard at the end of the day. The good news is I'm off the usual musician schedule of being up until 5am and sleeping until 1pm. The bad news is I haven't had a "real" 420 session at 4:20 (am or pm) in almost a week. Today is an empty Tuesday for me, so I've been blipping for while this afternoon. One of my usual Twitter partners, @killatrees420, is sadly dry right now -- wish I could help him out somehow. If he was around Seattle, he'd be welcome -- as are any off you. I think @hardKorE_EEyorE was puffing from his one word Twitter at 4:21pm via text message:

420 #81 (AM) Late Night of Blogging Leads to Near Miss of 4:20

I've been cranking away at blog posts for the last few hours now.  The last few have taken a while, and I almost missed making the Magic Hour. I tried to get some Twitter love, but as is usually the case late at night, no takers -- although I did get a nibble, but no confirmation. Too many hours of looking at the computer, must crash immediately... after a bong toke!

420 #80 (PM) Pipe Hits on the Road

Just a quick session today, driving down I-5 in slow traffic. I had to leave about 3:45pm to make sure I'd make a 5:15 appointment, and when 4:20pm hit, I was loaded and ready to go! My car has seen many 420 sessions, although I'd prefer not to celebrate the Magic Hour in heavy traffic. I'll try for a quiet, at-home session late this evening. See you online then? 420 #79 (AM) Doobiebots, Drug-Taking Researchers, Glowing Mushrooms, Oh My!

My clock is once again completely turned around and I'm working crazy hours. As has been my style lately, I was planning for the late night (early morning) session while working on other stuff -- mainly checking my e-mail and RSS feeds. I came across a great marijuana reference in the headline of one of the sci-fi blogs I read, io9.com:

This certainly grabbed my attention, but when I saw the photo, I thought, "I should build one of those..."

It's basically a webcam with alligator clips, but I just love that writer of the article saw some alligator clips, and immediately thought "roach clips" because what else might one use them for? Could there be some not-so-in-hiding potheads writing for io9.com? I checked out the author of the article's other posts: with posts related to drug-taking researchers, glowing mushrooms, and placebos, I think this means we've got a new writer to follow who is down with our vibe! Check out her posts on io9.com. Notice she never once calls them "alligator clips"? Gotta love it! Talk about a great way to spend 4:20!

My bowl tonight was extremely plentiful for no particular reason. I started smoking it right at the Magic Hour and while I didn't exactly stall, I wasn't in a rush either. By 5:30 I'd taken probably eight good solid hits -- I was good and high. 420thoughts showed up on Twitter looking for a smoking partner shortly after, so I fired up my bowl to join her. I got another solid eight hits out of that bowl over the next hour -- it truly seemed like The Never Ending Bowl. I felt blessed, to be sure.
