I'd completely forgotten how fun these movies are! There will never be a trilogy with the kind of scope that these movies had, with essentially five different time periods covered (including the alternate present). The second one in particular is completely wacky, with his mother's giant cleavage, Michael J. Fox playing three roles in one scene -- yet it's still the "Empire Strikes Back" of the trilogy, with it's dark tones in the alternate 1985, ending right in the middle of the story, and a sense of resolution but also a new lack of it. I'm looking forward to getting finished though -- it's been a long night of scanning, but I'm looking forward to tomorrow's video post -- check it out!

420 #20 (AM) Complete "Back to the Future" Trilogy Tonight!

420 #19 (AM) PDFs, James Bond and AK-47
I've been trying to get everything in my files over to PDF, so I spent some time tonight whittling down the giant stack of scanning I need to get done. I've scanned somewhere around 300 pages thus far tonight, but the presence of the AK-47, along with one of the wackiest Bond movies ever, made the time go by a little easier. I'm working on a nice bowl right now that'll be dead right before the Magic Hour. I've got my bong water chilling in the fridge, which I'll toss in my bong, load a beautiful solo bowl, and take a couple of solid rip-a-roos before I head off to La La Land.So it's official -- I'll be adding video to the site for various milestones, the first of which will be #21 -- the 5% mark. So stay tuned for our first video post. Is there something you'd like to see? Post a comment below!

420 #17 (AM) Quick Session Then Off to Bed
Ugh! Gotta get up early tomorrow, at least early for me -- 7:45am -- so I've been puffin' the last ten minutes and just took my last hit of the day along with the 4:20am alarm I have set. Now I'm off to bed -- at least I can wake-n-bake...

420 #16 (AM) New Variety
My usual hook-up got a new strand today, very tasty. Sorry for the lame-ass picture -- it's from my phone, as I left my good camera at work today. The herb is very sweet tasting, but boy, does it pack a punch! I picked up a quarter and a little extra after work today, and since about 11:00pm I've been riding the green wave.I'm only five posts away from the 5% mark, so I'm hurrying to get a video option together. I'll be posting to YouTube some kind of promo action, so stay tuned.

420 #15 (PM) Quickie
I had a quick session today -- rolled out of bed pretty late to a dinner invitation for 5:15pm, so if I was going to make it, I wouldn't have time for a leisurely joint. Instead, I opted for a quick bong rip to get me going, and a few quick hits of my pipe before a jump in the shower, to jumping into the car.
420 #14 (AM) Late Night with Burroughs
Have you seen "Naked Lunch"? Or read "Naked Lunch"? I'm watching it right now as I puff a nice phat bowl, and it certainly ranks up there with "Southland Tales" and "Brazil" as one of the strangest films I've ever seen, and I already know that I'll be watching it a few dozen more times in the coming weeks. Plus, how can you go wrong with music by Howard Shore and Ornette Coleman! I hear they have a Criterion Collection edition -- oooooooooo! I guess it's time to finally read some of his stuff -- I'll be visiting Barnes and Noble tomorrow, to be sure.I'm up late again, with my laptop encoding video, and my desktop editing video, with me watching video while the desktop renders video. Talk about video! I'm getting closer to a video 4:20 session option, so I'll be sure to let you all know ahead of time before I do it. Again, be sure to let me know if there's something you'd like to see!

420 #13 (AM) Rat Pack Gig and "Into the Wild"
I had a fun gig with a Rat Pack tribute group at a beautiful golf course about 40 minutes away, so my earlier session, plus a little booster in the car, set me just right for the "golf tournament crowd". I knew most of the guys in the group with the exception of the main guys, the singers, but they were really solid for the most part, although I was warned that one of them is an alcoholic, and the other is wound a little too tight (ADHD and/or OCD). I'll be playing a bunch with these guys in the next few months, so I'll be mentioning them again for sure.
After catching up on my regular internet reading, and getting some other work done, I started watching "Into the Wild" at about 3am. I've been putting off watching it for some unknown subconscious reason, but I'm so glad to be watching it. It's about a minute now after 4:20am as I write this, and I've still got about an hour to go. It's a very even movie -- you kind of have to be in for the long haul, because it's about the journey, not getting to the end so much. I wouldn't say it's a perfect movie for every stoney occasion, but it was for this particular one.
