420 #30 (AM) Getting Hooked on "24"

My roommate recently got the first five seasons of "24" and all I can say is, how did I not get into this show sooner? Not having a TV generally keeps me a bit out of the loop, but I still managed to get into shows like "Heroes", "Lost", and "Battlestar Galactica" without one. Plus, my folks -- "parents" for those of you not familiar with that term -- have been raving about it for months, so it serves me right for feeling retarded for not having seen it sooner. I'm plowing through Day One with the help of some bong tokes...

420 #29 (AM) Yet Another Airport Drive

After a week of being out of town with the family, I'm back at home and taking my sister back to the airport for her East Coast return flight. As luck would have it, my first official 420 session since picking her up from the airport would be -- taking her back to the airport. Her flight was scheduled for 6:30am, so leaving at about 4:15am was the right move anyway, but 4:20am being five minutes into our trip -- and the blunt that went along with it -- was icing on the cake. She got on the plane faded, and I got to go home and drift off to sleep.

420 #28 (AM) Driving Home from Airport

Damn! What was supposed to be a flight arriving a little after midnight turned into a flight arriving a little after 3am! Then, of course, the baggage took forever to get unloaded, so we didn't get on the road until almost 4am. My sister requested a "phat blunt" for the drive back into town, and I was happy to oblige just to keep awake! We hit 4:20am a few minutes before reaching my folks house to drop her off -- perfect timing.

420 #27 (AM) James Bond and a Joint

I had a couple gigs today, so I ended up getting home pretty late and pretty beat. Some movies sounded like a good idea, so I threw on a little classic James Bond, "Thunderball" and "You Only Live Twice". As 4:20am started to roll around, Bond was beginning to infiltrate the fake volcano in "You Only Live Twice". It's been a while since I enjoyed a solo joint at 420, so I rolled up a nice one and am enjoying it as I write this. My sister gets into town tomorrow, so look for some fun sessions.

420 #26 (PM) Getting Ready to Practice

I've got some practicing to do today for some gigs this weekend, and with 4:20 hitting right as I'm about to start, I'm taking a couple of quick hits off my pipe before I get things rolling to both quiet that "inner voice" and also, of course, to celebrate 420! 420 #26 (AM) Late Night with Kubrick's Boxes

I've always been a huge fan of Stanley Kubrick's movies, and when I stumbled onto this documentary about the hundreds of boxes of things he had saved, I knew I had to stay up and watch it after I got some work done. And thanks to the power of the internet, you can, too! I've embedded it below for your viewing pleasure. I enjoyed it with a nice full bowl in my pipe -- you should, too!

420 #25 (PM) My Little Red Bong

It's 4:20pm this beautiful Wednesday afternoon, and I've been having a pretty leisure day of it. A bit of organizing, some phone calls, catching up on my RSS feeds, a few puffs on the bowl here, another task crossed off my list there. I've decided to switch it up for 420 and use My Little Red Bong. I've used it on these sessions a few times in the past, but I haven't really talked much about it. I've had many "water pipes" over the years, most of them glass. And while I prefer glass bongs to plastic -- glass bongs always seem to end up in pieces. So, my "around the house" bong is this little plastic one-footer. Nice, low center of gravity -- I'm not going to have too many problems if I knock this with my elbow. I do have a solid glass bong that I rarely use, so I guess I better pull it out for one of these sessions. Stay tuned!

420 #24 (AM) Late Night Cash Poker

Long day and I'm super beat, but I'm still up and decided to push through to 4:20 after working until almost 4am on some consulting work. I threw on an episode of "Cash Poker: The Ultimate Gamble" that a friend of mine loaned me. I'm a sucker for televised poker, and this has to be one of the best shows yet -- high stakes, real playing environment, and high quality commentators (Dan Harrington and Chad Brown for the episode I watched). It appears to still be on TV, and the previous seasons are available on DVD, so it's worth searching out online if you are a poker fan. I enjoyed it with a nice pipe bowl of the same purple we smoked during golf -- mmm, mmm, good.

420 #23 (PM) Golfing with a Friend (Video)

I got a call early this afternoon from a good friend and fellow herb smoker for a 420 round of golf -- a 3:30 tee time -- and we had a great time! 420 #22 (PM) Running Errands

I hope everyone enjoyed the video post -- more and better to come, I promise! Today, I was planning on being out and about most of the day, and knew I'd have time for a leisure drive at "that time of the day," so I loaded up my trusty pipe and headed out on my day. Sure enough, I was actually driving somewhere when 4:20 kicked around, so I snagged my phone to take a quick pic of the car clock, and went to work with my pipe. Still enjoying this "O.G." strain -- nice and sweet to the taste buds.

420 #21 (AM) At Long Last, My First Video Post

Well, it's taken me a while to get in another official session, but at long last, my first video session is here! I've been crazy busy the last month, and as this blog hasn't really "matured" yet, it hasn't been high on my priority list to rigorously stop all proceedings of my day at a given 4:20, but now that my schedule has opened up for a few weeks, and I've finally got my video setup in order, I bring you my first video session! It isn't much, late at night, quick bong toke before I hit the sack. Apologies for the lack of creativity in advance -- I'm still figuring out the best way to conceal my identity but not have it be totally boring and non-descript.
